2021 Look Back
It’s been a whole year since I’ve wrote here. And a lot happened since. So it is the perfect time for a year look back!
I can say it’s been the biggest year of my life. I got my driver license despite my fear of driving. I know it’s only a lack of practice and I didn’t take as much opportunity as I should have. Maybe I should add this in my new year resolutions!I finished school and got my diploma in a nutritional field. I had a great internship which gave me more confidence. And most important, I became a mother of a wonderful healthy boy. Which explain why I was very quiet these past months.
Let’s make a retrospective of some works!
My only graphite drawing of the year. I got 3 other drawings planned at different stages. I hope to complete them this year, but I have so much things I want to do and so scarce time to do it!
During my internship, I got some free time to make a second Halloween color book. The first one has been made in 2015 so it was long due to make a second one.
Before giving birth, I was able to make 20 entries for the Mabsdralloween challenge on Instagram. I went digital this time and I really enjoyed that. I had to find a way to produce drawings in less time and that’s one way to do it.
Some toys I made for my son. Believe it or not, it took me 1 month to complete the blocks because I never had time! Next, I want to make Halloween sock puppets to play with him and a bat plush of course!
For the next year, I hope to get a job that I love (and doesn’t involve getting a car) and to get a routine with my family that gives me some free time to create. And to start the year, I’m working on a small painting for a group exhibit in February. It feels great to create again!
